Summer 2011

Also on the trip to Skomer in June 2011 I managed to photograph this very obliging Razorbill with an apperture setting of f8 at ISO 200 and a shutter speed of 1/640 used for both photographs.

There were many more photographs taken on the day and some will be available to purchase on my website which will be launched soon. More details to follow.

Looking Back To The Summer

A trip to Skomer Island back in June 2011 provided me with some excellent photo opportunities particularly with the Puffins who seemed only too pleased to pose for photographs. The Puffin above was photographed  using the Sony a290 camera fitted with a 55 - 200mm zoom lens at 200mm with an apperture setting of f8, ISO 200, shuuter speed 1/500.

The Puffin below was photographed using the same camera and lens at 200mm with f7.1 an ISO of 200 and shutter speed 1/400.

Back Garden Fairytale

I just couldn't resist this scene.
The Gnomes sitting at the table against such an unusual background created a fairytale feel to this back garden.
It was a bit of a quickfire shot as I was passing by but overall quite a pleasing photograph I think.
This photograph was taken using my trusty Sony a290 DSLR camera fitted with a Sony 18 - 55mm zoom lens set at  55mm at f11 with a shutter speed of 1/4 second. ISO 100. White Balance was set to shade.

Autumn Colours At Last

A trip to Margam Park and I finally have some Autumn colours to photograph after a few weeks of trying. This photograph is one of several taken on the day in various locations around the park showing the golds and browns of Autumn against the different shades of green. It was an overcast, grey day with very little colour in the sky but the colours of the trees made up for it.
